Upstate New York is a beautiful region, but much of it is undiscovered by tourists. Fortunately, there are many beautiful places to visit in this area. There are exciting outdoor activities and unique entertainment options, in addition to beautiful landscapes and towns. We've compiled a list of 31 unique and entertaining places to visit in upstate New York.

If you enjoy architecture, there is plenty to see in Woodstock, NY, including the Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, a Buddhist monastery in the town. The structure is ornately decorated and houses a Tibetan Buddhist monastery.


Don't forget to take a boat ride while you're in upstate New York. Chautauqua Lake is a popular place for boating excursions. The Chautauqua Belle is one of its many attractions.


The New York State Capitol Building, designed in the style of a medieval castle, is a must-see for architecture fans. This magnificent structure has a million-dollar staircase and 77 intricately carved sandstone faces. You can walk around the building and take in the sights for free. The charming town of Skaneateles is another excellent destination for architecture enthusiasts. It has long been a favorite summer retreat for the rich and famous in the Finger Lakes region. There are many interesting buildings to see in Skaneateles, such as art galleries, restaurants, and shops.


Architects and sculpture enthusiasts can also visit the well-known Griffis Sculpture Park. This was the very first sculpture park in the United States. The Finger Lakes region of upstate New York is home to thousands of special attractions and charming villages. The Corning Museum of Glass is the world's largest glass museum. The museum provides a number of activities and tours.


The Hudson Valley is a stunning region, complete with mountains, lakes, rivers, and lakes. There's plenty to do in Hudson, and it's only a two-hour drive from New York City.
